A well established race around the Isle of Portland, which now includes a new Sprint distance event. Another change for 2011 is that the race has been moved from July to September.
Swimming along Ham Beach, one of the best shallow water international wind surfing venues in the country, you will negotiate a 1500m course around huge yellow marker buoys exiting the water no more than 20m away from a flat well organised transition area. (Sprint distance - 750m)
40 km or 3 laps around Portland, seeing the famous Bill lighthouse and fantastic Chesil Beach stretching for miles along the Jurassic coastline. (Sprint distance - 20km)
A mainly flat 10km off road run with various surfaces including coastal path, grass and 4K of flat tarmac along the impressive Rodwell Trail. (Sprint distance - 5km)
No Bustinskin event is complete without free food at the end, finish early enough and a bacon and egg sandwich and a fine cup of tea will be waiting for you at the Sailing Academy's cafe.

Bustinskin have built up an impressive list of events in the last couple of years. Based in Weymouth, they make the most of Bowleaze Cove, situated to the left of the bay for open water swims and the Jurassic Coast for the bike and run sections of triathlons of varying distances. The inaugural Middle Distance triathlon in September 2009 was generally regarded by the competitors as one of the toughest around, so it will surely become a must do event in the triathlete calendar.
For 2012 there will be 4 open water swims, a pool based Sprint at the Osprey Leisure Centre, a sea Sprint or Classic at Bowleaze and the Middle Distance Triathlon at the end of the season designed by the devil himself.
For 2012 BustinSkin are also giving you a discount of 15% when you enter either the Triathlon or open water swim series.
