We’ve all been sat in an IT lesson at school, bored out of our minds wanting something fun to do.
Problem is, we’ve struggled to find anything that keeps our attention.
Scrolling on Google and the local news can get very dull and almost feel like it’s more interesting actually listening to the teacher…
But Soccer Bros might have changed this.
What is Soccer Bros?
Run, kick and slide your way to victory in Soccer Bros!

Soccer Bros is a 1vs1 game developed by Blue Wizard Digital which you can play on your computer and your phone.
It’s fast paced and easy to pick up which makes it perfect for new players.
The games last under three minutes, so you don’t have to worry about it taking up too much time or needing a ridiculous amount of attention either.
You can play from anywhere in the world.
Game Modes
There are multiple modes you can try in this game.
The first is just your regular offline mode against the computer.
Then there’s also the option of online games against other people, or you can host a game and your mate can join using a code. When attempting to play online though, I struggled to find anyone to play against, despite waiting a few minutes.
If you’ve got someone else to play with on the same device, you can opt for the 1vs1 mode against each other.
But if you don’t fancy jumping straight into the competition, you can hone your skills in the practice mode which lets you play on your own, practicing your dribbling and shooting. In this mode you can build up goal streaks as well – just don’t miss!
How to play Soccer Bros
Like in many games, you have the option of using the arrow keys or ‘WASD’.
The arrow keys correspond to the same action, so the ‘left’ key would go left and the same with the others.
In WASD, ‘W’ is up, ‘A’ is left, ‘S’ is down, ‘D’ is right.
Spacebar can be used to shoot and to slide tackle.
Be wary though, a missed timed slide tackle can leave you massively out of position and your goal very vulnerable. Use it wisely!
To tackle without sliding you need to be near the ball and run it away from the opposition. It’s like a locking feature where the ball will lock to your player to steal it off the other. Don’t let your opponent get too close though, as they’ll do the same back to you.
You can get a red card and give away a penalty if your tackle or the challenge on you is particularly bad. This penalty option gives you an MLS style spot kick where you can dribble at the goal without your opponent being there.
Additional Features
The game rocks great songs when in the menu and in game.
This is paired with some exciting commentary. Although this does get quite repetitive once you’ve played it for a bit.
There is the option to turn the music off though, so you don’t have to worry about catching the attention of your teacher.
What Does the Game Look Like?
It’s easiest to show you so here is some actual gameplay

In goal you have a pair of gloves which goes back and forth from each side of the goal. So, you need to aim the side it’s not, else it’ll make a great save. You don’t control the gloves, it’s automatic.
Once you score, this is what will come up.

Let’s hope you see a lot of these, but not for your opponent!
Then if you fancy making a crunching slide tackle, this is what it’d look like. Just try to time it better than I did…

The game is split into two halves so if you’re losing at half time, not to worry you’ve still got time to turn it around.
So, if you’re bored out of your mind in school, work or even at home, then this is a good game to pass a few minutes by.
Character Customisation
This big part of the game is the choice of players you can use. In your locker, you can pick from Cristiano Ronaldo to David Beckham.
One thing to note though is that they don’t have official licensing, so the names are a little different: meet Chris Ronald and Davey Bendem.
When you win games, it goes towards unlocking new characters, badges and boots. Not every character is playable instantly, you have to earn that.

But if you want to change up how your favourite player looks, then you can do just that.
The buttons below the players let you change the badge they’re representing, the boots they’re rocking, the shorts they’re showing off and the socks they’ve got.
You can also change the colour of the shirt, boots, shorts and socks freely, without needing to win any games.
There’s 12 different colours to pick from, so you won’t be disappointed.
Oh, and there are female players too. From the start without upgrades you can use Alisha Lehmann and Alex Morgan (with altered names).
